| EMC Shielded Windows | Methods and Typical Results | Shielding is an important issue today with the need to meet the regulatory rules that now exist within the EU. | |
| Prism'a' and Acrylic standard filters are manufactured here using micro fine mesh in stainless steel or copper. This is cast into flat sheet totally encapsulated, ready to machine to drawing and the final window is then terminated with a silver busbar for contact. | |||
| Our standard filters/windows are produced using mesh with wire diameters .025mm to .05mm and weave densities 50, 70, 100,200. Most commonly used is the 100 Opi Stainless steel silvered and blackened or copper blackened. Both are highly conductive and non-reflective which is particularly advantageous in clear filters. | |||
| As with all our windows we have the option of providing two different types of anti glare fine or medium or left standbrd wlth no anti-glare. | |||

Prism 'a' is almost completely solvent resistant and can operate within a wide temperature range that out-performs other window contstructions. After machining our cast mesh to drawing we are left with an exposed layer of the mesh in the centre of the edges. An application of silver membrane ink is bonded to these edges forming a circuit and is extended, if required, to the front or rear of the window. It is now ready to place within your component with either a conductive glue or the various shielded gaskets that are available on the market.
The shielded windows can be machined with either a step or butt-edged finish; which ever is best suited to your design.
